Service Award Distribution Information
The
Service Award Certificates are being sent to the designated VP areas monthly.
This process has been implemented to correct people being recognized up to a
year later than their actual anniversary date.The Academic Health Center service awards are being sent to Academic Health Center Finance and Administration.The certificates are signed by President Zimpher and contain
a tack pin with the number of service years. It is our
expectation to receive the certificates from Human Resources sometime during the
month prior to the anniversary month (i.e. September’s certificates in
August).We will then get them out
to the department’s Human Resources contact by the first week of the
anniversary month.
At
the same time the certificates are being distributed from Human Resources, the
vendor will be sending the gift brochures directly to the employee’s home
address.The employee will return
the order form directly to the vendor, not to UC.
The
University will continue to hold an annual recognition ceremony for reaching
milestones of 20, 25, 30 etc.The
ceremony for 2006 is scheduled for Friday, May 12, 2006 at the Kingsgate
Confernece Cetner.There will not be an annual verification process, and other
service recognition activities will be left to the discretion of the department.The service recognition is based on the most recent hire date that is in
the HRMS system.If an employee
believes he or she was excluded in error, verify the most recent hire date and
